PLA-PEGs

  • Polylactide-block-PEGs (PLA-PEGs) are a family of amphiphilic block copolymers (ABCs) are made up of two chemically different homopolymer blocks.  One of the block is hydrophilic PEG and the other one is hydrophobic PLA. These macromolecules have the properties to self-assemble into micelles when dissolved in an aqueous media.
  • PLA-PEGs is one of the most commonly used biodegradable ABCs for drug delivery applications.
  • Functionalized PLA-PEGs have functional groups at the PEG distal end for bioconjugation or surface modification.
  • Nanosoft Polymers offers functionalized poly(L-Lactide)-PEGs (PLLA-PEGs) and poly(D,L-Lactide)-PEGs (PDLLA-PEGs) with high purity and low polydispersity.
