Product Description
Thiolated hyaluronic acid (hyaluronate thiol,HA–SH) was obtained from Nanosoft Polymers. Hyaluronic acid was functionalized with thiol groups via amide bond formation, with a degree of substitution of approximately 5 mol%. The product was supplied as a >95% pure powder.
HA–SH derivatives with different thiol substitution ratios can be prepared upon request through a custom synthesis service. The thiol-functionalized hyaluronic acid can serve as a versatile precursor for further chemical modification, drug conjugation, or hydrogel formation in biomedical and drug delivery applications.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan that constitutes a major component of the extracellular matrix in connective tissues. It plays critical roles in tissue hydration, cell migration, cell proliferation, and cell–surface receptor interactions.
