4-arm PEGs-COOH

Description

General Description

4-Arm PEG-COOH consists of a branched PEG core with four terminal carboxylic acid groups. Compared to linear PEG derivatives, the multi-arm architecture provides a higher density of reactive functional groups, allowing the preparation of crosslinked networks, multifunctional conjugates, and polymeric drug delivery systems.

The terminal carboxylic acid groups can be activated using EDC/NHS or other coupling reagents for reaction with primary amines, peptides, proteins, antibodies, and other biomolecules. The hydrophilic PEG backbone improves water solubility, biocompatibility, and reduces nonspecific interactions in biological systems.
