Methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(ε-caprolactone) terminated with succinic acid (MPEG-PCL-COOH) is a linear amphiphilic block copolymer. It can be used in preparation of micelles or nanoparticles for drug encapsulation and drug delivery. The COOH group with the hydrophobic block can be modified by reacting with -OH or amine group.
