Description
General Description
HS-PEG-Hydrazide is a versatile bifunctional PEG linker designed for the conjugation of biomolecules and surface functionalization. The terminal thiol group enables attachment to gold nanoparticles, gold-coated surfaces, maleimide-functionalized molecules, and other thiol-reactive materials. The hydrazide group reacts efficiently with aldehyde- and ketone-containing compounds under mild conditions, forming hydrazone bonds.
The hydrophilic PEG spacer improves solubility, flexibility, and biocompatibility while minimizing steric hindrance and nonspecific interactions. HS-PEG-Hydrazide is commonly employed in protein conjugation, antibody modification, nanoparticle functionalization, and targeted drug delivery systems.
