PLLA-PEG-Alkyne

Price range: $300.00 through $360.00

PLLA-PEG-Alkyne (Poly(L-lactide)-b-Polyethylene Glycol-Alkyne) is a tin-free, biodegradable amphiphilic block copolymer consisting of poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) terminated with an alkyne group. The hydrophobic PLLA segment enables drug encapsulation and nanoparticle formation, while the hydrophilic PEG segment improves aqueous solubility and biocompatibility. The terminal alkyne group provides a versatile handle for click chemistry conjugation with azide-containing molecules, making PLLA-PEG-Alkyne ideal for targeted drug delivery, nanoparticle functionalization, and biomaterials research.

Description

General Description

PLLA-PEG-Alkyne is a tin-free biodegradable block copolymer designed for advanced drug delivery and nanomedicine applications. The amphiphilic structure allows spontaneous self-assembly into polymeric micelles and nanoparticles with a hydrophobic PLLA core and a hydrophilic PEG shell.

The terminal alkyne group enables efficient conjugation through copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and related click chemistry reactions. This functionality allows attachment of peptides, proteins, antibodies, fluorophores, targeting ligands, and other biomolecules to create functional nanocarriers and biomaterials.
