PDLLA-PEG-Alkyne

Price range: $300.00 through $1,200.00

PDLLA-PEG-Alkyne (Poly(D,L-lactide)-b-Polyethylene Glycol-Alkyne) is a tin-free, biodegradable amphiphilic block copolymer consisting of poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) terminated with an alkyne group. The hydrophobic PDLLA segment enables drug encapsulation and nanoparticle formation, while the hydrophilic PEG segment improves aqueous solubility and biocompatibility. The terminal alkyne group provides a versatile handle for click chemistry conjugation with azide-containing molecules, making PDLLA-PEG-Alkyne ideal for targeted drug delivery, nanoparticle functionalization, and biomaterials research.

Description

General Description

PDLLA-PEG-Alkyne is a tin-free biodegradable block copolymer designed for advanced drug delivery and nanomedicine applications. The amphiphilic structure enables self-assembly into polymeric micelles and nanoparticles with a hydrophobic PDLLA core capable of encapsulating hydrophobic drugs and a hydrophilic PEG shell that enhances stability and circulation performance.

The terminal alkyne group participates in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and other click chemistry reactions, allowing efficient conjugation of peptides, proteins, antibodies, fluorophores, targeting ligands, and other bioactive molecules. PDLLA-PEG-Alkyne is widely used in the preparation of functional nanocarriers and bioactive materials.
